Thanks for the link.
On the page that you linked me to, it says,
"beaTunes 1 to 4.x are not actively developed anymore."
Just looking for clarification as to what exactly that means.
Does this mean there is a newer version out that I would need to purchase
to have the most up to date copy of the program?
Does this mean that the version I have beatunes4, is no longer being
maintained and updated?
Would you be able to link me to something outlining the advantages of the newer version? And I'm curious as to what the difference between version five and version for car, aside from the fact that version five is still being developed.
After reading the articles you wrote, and the FAQ section I think the new
version, 5, sounds awesome. What's the process for upgrading to the new
version? Are there any discounts codes for current users?
What am I to do, to make sure that Beatunes4 has an empty analysis queue?
Also, you said, and then "stop it". Do you mean Quit Beatunes 4? before
downloading 5? I'm sorry, I feel a little dumb at the moment, unable to
follow your train of thought through this process.

Under the Getting Started section of the article on your blog, you suggest
running color analyzation, as well as "update popularity data"
When I click on the ANALYZE section, I see the option to check for color,
but am not seeing anything that says "update popularity data"

I'm asking if Beatunes5 has the ability to organize my music.
I have quite a few music files that are not separated into folders. I'm
wondering I Beatunes5 can organize them into folders by artist, album, etc.

I trust that you are well.
Thanks for continuing to improve upon the Beatunes program. I have not used
it in quite a while and have jsut upgraded to the latest version. In doing
so I noticed that the library is empty. So I need to redirect the program
to where my iTunes library is currently as I keep it on an external hard
I am blind and have had trouble navigating the threads online and figured
best to jsut reach out directly.
First, I am not sure, when I am "adding a library" if it should be a
Database or iTunes base...
Secondly, not sure if I should direct Beatunes to the folder containing all
my music files, or to an XML file somewhere?
I do not know how to find the XML file, but I can find the music folder
containing all my music
Can you help me get my new Beatunes version all set up?

In doing so I noticed that the library is empty.
Is the search field in the upper right corner empty? Sometimes people forget they still have something in there and wonder why nothing is shown.
So I need to redirect the program to where my iTunes library is currently as I keep it on an external hard drive.
beaTunes does not need to know where your audio files are. It needs to know where your iTunes Library.xml file is.
First, I am not sure, when I am "adding a library" if it should be a Database or iTunes base...
Since you seem to be using iTunes, use an iTunes-based library.
Secondly, not sure if I should direct Beatunes to the folder containing all my music files, or to an XML file somewhere?
You need to find the iTunes Library.xml file, not the folder with your audio files.
I do not know how to find the XML file, but I can find the music folder containing all my music
It's typically in ~/Music/iTunes/. But only if you have told iTunes to export it. To make sure it does, open iTunes, then the iTunes preferences, go to Advanced and make sure that Share iTunes Library XML with other applications is turned on.
