I am currently trialing beatunes.
I store all my music on an iTunes server on my Synology NAS. I am able to see this music collection via iTunes client on my Mac.
I would like to use BeaTunes to analyze this content from my iTunes Server via the "Share ITunes XML" option on my iTune ciient on my Mac. However, it appears that beatunes can only see the local iTunes xml file. I don't want to have to continually copy the music files back and forth between my NAS and my local Mac. It defeats the purpose of using an iTunes server.
Is there a way for beatunes to analyze the content on my iTunes server?

Does your Synology NAS support exporting a iTunes Library.xml file?

No, not from my understanding. I guess it can't be done then.

Do you have access to the files on your Synology via the file system? If so, you could try to use a folder-based library: http://blog.beatunes.com/2015/01/different-libraries-for-different-...
