Hi there. I just downloaded the Beatunes trial. After installing it automatically set my language to German. MAybe because I am currently residing in Germany?!

Anyway, I'd really like to have the app in English, but can't seem to find a way to change the language in the options menu. Maybe I'm blind.

Could anyone help me out, please?

    Hi,

beaTunes reads your system configuration. If it happens to be set to English, German or French, it will pick up the language and use it in its user interface.

If it's any other language, beaTunes will default to English.

To change the UI language, you will need to change your system settings.

    Hope this helps,

I actually tried changing the 'Location' setting under 'Region and Language' to United States and UK. My win7 system is English. I do not have anything else on 'German' except the Formats section in 'Region and Language'.

I have also uninstalled beatunes and reinstalled it with the 'Location' set to US. Still in German.

Any reg settings for beatunes I can change? I'm not scared of doing that.

But: Come on, I should be able to change this in the program itself...

Well, you can of course change your formats to English as well and beaTunes should start up in English.

Or, you manually tell it to use English by overriding the language setting.
To do so, you need to find the files beaTunes2.l4j.ini and beaTunes2.l4j.ini.template in your beaTunes installation directory and add the following line:

    -Duser.language=en

    Perfect!

Adding those lines to the ini worked.

Thank you! The issue is resolved.
