What tag field does Danceability use or is it stored locally in BeaTunes? If it's not held in the music file, how can I move Danceability to the Grouping field?

It should be stored in an ID3 TXXX frame, called "MOOD_DANCEABILITY".

Will this work with itunes AAC files. I am able to get Mood, Mood_Valence, but Mood_Danceability does not come it. Would it be formatted: %mood_danceability%

I am having no success bringing this field in and view it in MP3Tag. Is their a script to move the Danceability to Grouping field?

In an AAC file it should be under com.apple.iTunes MOOD_DANCEABILITY.

Do you use an iTunes-based library or a folder-based one?

If it's iTunes-based, you must turn embedding on before the analysis.

I use an iTunes based library and embedding is on? In AAC files, Mood and Mood_valence come in. If I used Mp3 files none of the mood related fields come in.

    Populate the field.

Hi guys, I use folder based so I haver an obvious question: What about me?
Or simply how do I copy one field to another? like Danceability to the Grouping field? So that without much hassle, it will show in our DJ softwares like Rekordbox.

Still having issues seeing the Danceability field in AAC files. I have searched every possible field. Does anyone know of a program that shows the contents of every tag field in a music file? I used MP3Tag but don't see Danceability anywhere and I have created all the custom fields mentioned including: %mood_danceability%

    Hey Don,

it looks like this is a bug in beaTunes. I.e. the danceability value is simply never embedded. :-(

Sorry for being so late to notice this.

The good news is that it should be fixed now. You can download the current Windows snapshot (which contains the fix) from https://www.beatunes.com/download/beaTunes-5-2-20-SNAPSHOT-x64.exe Hopefully it solves the issue.

    Cheers,
