The playlist "directory" doesn't match what is in in iTunes.
It doesn't seem to be in the current order of text but in a pre-renamed order of text.
When deleting songs from a playlist in Beatuens it doesn't delete the song from the iTunes playlist. Deleting the song from iTunes will delete it from Beatunes.

Beatunes seems to remember playlists that have been deleted from iTunes.

    Hi,

which version of beaTunes are you using?

That aside - I am not sure I understand what you mean with "current order of text". Would you please elaborate?

    Thanks,

I have attached two images. Hopefully, that will explain.

By "current order of text". I mean the list isn't resorted when the playlists are renamed. It keeps an old sort order.

    I'm using 2.2.1.6.

    Hi,

currently the order only gets 're-calculated' when you restart beaTunes. I'm aware of this shortcoming.

But the other two (delete song from playlist, show non-existing playlist) I will have to investigate...

    Thanks for pointing them out.

I have tried closing BeaTunes and reopening as well turning the computer off and back on and the playlists still won't sort.

    How do I restart BeaTunes?

Well, you just close it, the way you probably did.

In any case, the sort order may be slightly different than iTunes'
Does it not sort at all?

    Ohh!

Your folders are not sorted correctly - but the playlists in the folders are still alphabetical. Right?

I can see where that could come from.

    Hi,

I believe I have found and fixed the issue. Would you mind trying out the corresponding development snapshot? It's at

    http://www.beatunes.com/donwload/beaTunes-2-1-7-SNAPSHOT-jre-win.exe

    Does it solve the problem?

    Thanks,

    Hi,

since I am going to go on vacation tomorrow, I just rolled a release with this fix. If you haven't tried out the snapshot, please go straight for the real 2.1.7 release.

    Have a good weekend!
