Ipod does not update playcount

Two days ago I downloaded the trial version of beaTunes, installed it and updated the Beats Per Minute for all my songs. Since then whenever I connect my Ipod, it no longer updates the recent playcount/last played onto Itunes.
My intention was to create a smart playlist to train and run to, that updated new songs within a certain range of BPM.

    Hi Steve,

frankly, I didn't even know that iTunes updates the last played/playcounts from your iPod. I don't see how the two things are related though.

Previously when the iPod was linked to the PC, tracks I recently listened to would be listed on the 'Recently Played' playlist and the playcount would show the number of times played.
Since downloading beaTunes, this does not happen. I've played several tracks this morning and when I connect the iPod, it shows no tracks listed for todays date and time.
I also occasionally get the message 'iPod cannot be synced. Unknown error (13019)'

Don't know if these are related, but they have only happened since downloading beaTunes.

I've tried resetting the iPod, but to no avail.

This really sounds like a iPod/iTunes problem to me. I'd sugest contacting Apple support.

    Sorry,

Please do and I would appreciate, if you let me know, what the outcome is.

    Thanks,
