Inspection: Mixing of Albums with the same name, but different artist

Beatunes suggest to change artists for completely different albums with the same title (e.g. Greatest Hits). I use a directory structure for my albums and it should be taken into account. only titles in the same directory belong to the same album.

    are those Greatest Hits albums marked as compilations?

    Yes, you were right. At least some of them were compilations. I have to check again now when I changed the compilation flag. But now I discovered a similar problem: Beatunes tells me, that the years are not the same in a particular album. It mixes the albums "hits" from Joni Mitchell and Phil Collins. Of course, these were not produced the same year. The same happens with "Live in Europe", where it mixes albums of about 5 different artists. Also Albums "Live in New York" and others are mixed.

    These titles do not have the compilation flags.

    Hi Andreas,

    this is a known issue with beaTunes 2 - it will be fixed in beaTunes 3.
