App not analyzing
1. If you experienced a crash or other abnormal behavior, please attach the log file 'beaTunes-logs-2025-05-13-153622.zip' by dragging it from your desktop onto the 'Attach File' button below.
2. I've been using Beatunes for ~6 years, but today it all of a sudden won't analyze tracks. It just says a system error has occurred.

hey, I have got the exact same problem which is making the app unusable for my needs. I have been using the app for nine years until now. I really need a fix or will have to divert to another app. Also using MacOS.
On another note: I am not able to register or login to tender app (which beatunes support uses). The reason given does not make any sense. It says that I have too many identities trying to use the service, which is not the case at all.

Hi Cam,
did something change? Is the issue reproducible with the latest version from the website?
Thanks,
-hendrik

Also: what exactly is the error message? Can you please send a screenshot?
Thanks!

There’s no error message at this point, it just won’t analyze most tracks. Been using since 2018 or 2019 and never had this issue until now.

There is no error message at all. There simply is no action, no analysis happening.
I tried reinstalling the app. Turns out that this lead to the analysis working again. The after it stopped working again.
Hope this helps.

But you’ve mention something about a system error. Where and how was that shown?

Yeah same thing here, it’ll work briefly and then just stop working. Won’t analyze. No error codes.

Could you please reproduce the issue and upload your logs right afterwards via
Help
->Upload Logs
from within the beaTunes app? And then let me know. Perhaps the logs lead to more insights.9 Posted by Cam Peavy on 03 Jun, 2025 12:25 PM

I have a similar problem running on Win11. Note: I had not used BT for a few years. Did new install of latest version. Then imported my library. Most files have fields populated from prior saving as tags. Currently library is read-only. Could that create a problem? I am not trying to save tags right now, though.
Analysis: Failed to analyze fingerprint of track 'Jones Comin' Down': java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException (id=-5803736083243197931)
Uploaded logs.

Hey Benjamin,
Yes. Read-only is a problem. Concretely, the analysis for
Jones Comin' Down
fails, because the file is read-only.-hendrik

Cam - you have apparently sent a message, but it didn't make it through. What did it contain? Can you please use the web interface to answer? A link is below.

Also, Cam, can you please reproduce the issue and upload your logs via
Help
->Upload Logs
from within the application? That way I have a chance at getting to the bottom of this (because I cannot reproduce it).Thanks!

I tried uninstalling and redownloading AGAIN and this time it seems to have fixed the issue.

Thanks, Cam. If this issue appears again, please upload your logs and let me know.

Hi,
I am experiencing the same problem outlined above. I have uploaded my logs. I deleted and redownloaded the app but it did not fix the error. The issue is the analyze function is not working. There is no error message, it simply does not analyze any songs.
Please help, thanks.

Hey Dean,
thanks for the logs. Indeed no analysis happens. Did you enable any analysis tasks in the analysis options dialog?

Actually, Dean, what does your Analysis pane look like (you can see it by selecting the menu
View
->Analysis
)? Does it contain all your songs? Is it perhaps paused? If so, please resume by clicking on theResume Analysis
button in the upper right corner (orTools
->Resume Analysis
).19 Posted by benjamin_moser on 09 Jun, 2025 11:23 AM
Hendrick, thank you for the reply. I will make my library read-write and try again and reprot on results.

Hey Dean,
Is the problem you've reported solved?
