Problem syncing beaTunes with iTunes
Hi there, I've had some problems with iTunes so I reinstalled. Now beaTunes tells me to turn on XML library sharing (it is on), then tries to sync. Just before completing the sync, I get the error attached. Can you help?

It looks like the iTunes COM automation server is not installed correctly.
Where did you install it from? The Windows app store or from Apple? Also, did you perhaps install the Apple Music app?

I installed directly from Apple. I did start installing the Apple Music App
but cancelled the installation because I was actually searching for iTunes.
Maybe something installed regardless?

If not, I'd give the (lame) advice of re-installing iTunes again from Apple, restarting and trying the above again.

That didn't work, unfortunately. I uninstalled/reinstalled iTunes and
restarted my pc. Still get the same error (including the one about the XML
Library sharing).

Hm... The logs basically also only say that beaTunes cannot talk to the iTunes COM automation server, which is what typically happens when iTunes is not properly installed or Windows App Store sandboxing is in effect.
Why this still fails in your case—I unfortunately don't know. :-/

I got the two talking. Uninstalled/reinstalled both. I think I lost some
beaTunes info, but otherwise, things work!
