Read the support articles etc., with no joy. beaTunes does not start so Tools menu doesn't show up; also there is no beaTunes folder in Application Support so can't go the Recover file route either. Re-installed beaTunes.
MacBook Pro 14" 2021 M1 Max. Sonoma 14.1.1

    You probably just need to restart beaTunes again and it should rebuild its database from what's in your files.

    G’day Hendrik,

    Did not work. I restarted it numerous times. Restarted my computer too. Re-installed beaTunes. Nothing worked.
    As I wrote, beaTunes does not load properly so the only menu item I see is beaTunes.
    By the way, please update our address. We have reverted to our alliedmarine.net server. The correct e-mail is now:

    When you get that dialog, saying that repair failed, can you move the dialog window so that the very bottom becomes visible? There beaTunes should offer you to rebuild the database. Please do so.

    If you cannot access that part of the repair failure dialog, please let me know.

    Thank you for your e-mail.
    Alas I can not scroll down in that window, nor can I move it up. I tried expanding the window hoping the line breaks would be reduced but no luck. Attaching three (3) screenshots illustrating what’s going on.

    1. Start up beaTunes. As you can see beaTunes is trying to rebuild the database. The rebuild window only comes up after about 30 seconds after trying to start up beaTunes. Inordinate amount of time to start. The the small repair window only shows for about 2 seconds before the repair log shows up (2.).

    2. Dialog box expanded to right. The top of the dialog box window is at the top of the screen and won’t move up any more. Can’t scroll down.

    3. Failure window.

    Hi,

    please start the Terminal app and enter the following line exactly:

    echo "delete" > ~/Library/Application\ Support/beaTunes/Database/delete
    

    Then start beaTunes. It should rebuild (not repair) your database from your audio files (i.e. whatever wasn't in the files is lost).
