Cannot select multiple songs in analysis queue
hi, when i select a number of tracks i want to remove from the analysis queue, & i hold down control to Cancel Task & click down to bring up the context menu, it deselects the multiple tracks i had had selected, & just allows me to cancel whichever track i happened to click down on to bring up the context menu.
so, because there's no menu option or key command to remove items from the analysis queue, there's no way for me to remove items in bulk. [or, for that matter, i can't reorder items in the queue either...i tried to drag & drop the items i didn't want to analyse to the end of the queue, & it's not selecting at all.]
i'm using beatunes 2.1.4 on mac os x 10.6.2. [my java is 1.6.0_17, i think.] there are about 15,000 items in my queue as of the moment.
p.s. you should really make a button or a menu item for removing items from the queue. & maybe change the context menu item to "remove from analysis queue," because "cancel task" sounds too much like it means "stop everything in this analysis queue & clear it."
p.p.s. is there any way to view which items have a PUID & which still need to have it retrieved? i'm not seeing it as a column anywhere.
p.p.p.s. does beatunes generate & submit acoustic IDs for tracks that have none in the database yet, or can only jaikoz do that?

Hi,
thanks for making me aware of this! So far I always used an external mouse or the two fingers on the touchpad shortcut for a context click - in either cases the problem does not occur. You might want to to try it as workaround.
With the MusicIP task, beaTuns can also generate PUID, just like Jaikoz.

thanks for the prompt reply.
i'll program my mouse to register double-clicks...i just ordinarily use contextual menus so infrequently that having the mouse do it ended up with me accidentally triggering it all over the place, which was annoying as hell. but until you release a fix, i'll just suck it up & modify my mouse's preferences as a work-around in the meantime.

p.s. you should really have a more prominent link to help.beatunes.com on the main site—i've been using beatunes for over a year now, & i had no idea this part of the site existed until i accidentally clicked the link to it earlier to-day. & i'm far, far more thorough about looking for resources than the average interneter—i can't imagine the number of people who've wished this part of the site existed & just resigned themselves to having only the FAQ or e-mailing you as options.

You are probably right... just added a 'Forum' link to the menu bar.
BTW - the mailing me, i.e. the beatunes support address, also leads to a new discussion in tender - but it's private, not public.
Thanks!

Hi!
Regarding that multiple selection issue in the analysis queue - 2.1.5 will allow you to remove selected items from the queue with the delete button.
Thanks again, for making me aware of this.
