I have a couple questions:
1. what does it mean when the BPM shows as one number but in the column to the right of that, there is another number that is grayed out which is double that amount?
2. why are there a bunch of songs in the itunes library that won't calculate the BPM
3. some of my songs that were in the cloud, but are now downloaded to my computer, are still showing as in the cloud according to beatunes and these won't calculate BPM

    Hey Angie,

    1. There is not necessarily one tempo as which a song can be perceived. Some people tap to music twice or halve as fast as others. This is reflected in the second number. The darker/bigger the second number, the larger the probability that it may actually be the "correct" value.
    2. Do you see an error message in the analysis panel? Typical reasons are: two short or encrypted by some DRM.
    3. Have you tried synchronizing? File -> Synchronize. That should update the status.

    Hope this helps,

Thanks so much for your reply. Synchronizing did the trick for that, and,
yes, it turns out all those songs that will not calculate BPM are protected
files. Bummer. Thanks for your help!
