Beauties 5.2.18 just shuts down without any error messages; very frustrating! Happens all the time after.

    Hi Val,

thanks, I have received the logs.
I believe this is a memory-related issue. Please follow the advice in this article and increase the max heap memory to 1G by

    • stopping beaTunes
    • starting Terminal.app
    • typing this exact line: defaults write -app beaTunes5 /com/tagtraum/beatunes/ -dict-add JVMOptions/ '{"-Xmx"="-Xmx1G";}'
    • starting beaTunes.

In its About dialog, it should not show a max heap config of 1G. If not, you might need to restart your computer.

When beaTunes v5.2.19 comes out make sure to update. It will address some memory consumption issues.

    Hope this helps,

    -hendrik
