Hey Cliff,
Sounds like a problem with beaTunes’ database.
How can I help?
Cheers,

Hi Hendrik
I restarted beaTunes and it requested a synch which initiated. It has been running for a few hours and is about 80% complete. I plan on letting it run through the night and hope it completes. It is about 80% complete. If it is not complete I think I will cancel it in the morning if that makes sense.

Great news. The synch completed and everything looks normal.
Thanks
Henrik

Hey Cliff,
Just so that I can follow along:
When given the option to “rebuild” the database from your audio files, did you agree or not?
Cheers,

Hi Hendrik
I did not rebuild my database.
After the synch that took hours completed I initiated a second synch which responded that everything was synched. I decided to go ahead and synch anyway. Its ran fairly normal but probably took about an hour. I have now turned beaTunes off and will start it up again after I restart my MAC. I will let you know how things run.
All the best
Cliff

Hey Hendrik
I resarted my Mac and then started Apple Music. With nothing else running other than Music I restarted beaTunes and everything looks happy.
Have a great day
Cliff

Hey Cliff,
Sorry to ask again. You’ve started this discussion with a screenshot of a Yes/No dialog.
Which button did you push?
Thanks!

Hey Hendrik
Coming back to you on which button I pushed. I honestly do not recall but I do know that I did not rebuild the data base so I assume I either pushed NO or quit beaTunes and restarted it.
Cheers
Cliff

I’m asking, because “rebuilding” is essentially the same as “deleting” and then “synchronizing”.
For the user it is not necessarily distinguishable.
But never mind. As long as things are back in order, I guess we are good.
