No communication with iTunes
I just downloaded beaTunes 2.1.2
I have iTunes 9.0.2
and Mac OS X.1
I am not computer savvy. I did look under
Home/Library/Applications. Nothing came up for beaTunes.

Hi,
when you download beaTunes, you download a so called disc image (dmg).
It typically opens automatically and shows up as "Device" in Finder.
Do you still have a device called "beaTunes". If so click on it and it should show you a couple of items, one of them "beaTunes2". Simply drag that icon to your "Applications" folder and drop it there. OS X will now copy the application into your Applications folder.
Once that is done, you can eject that beaTunes device by clicking onto the Eject button on the right of it (or you can simply drag that beaTunes device onto the trash).
You should now be able to start beaTunes2 from the Applications folder.
Hope this helps,
-hendrik

Or... if installation is not the issue, what exactly is the issue?
Thanks,

I did what you suggested, and beaTunes is in Applications. When I open up Applications which is the same column as beaTunes, I get a message "Cannot use beaTunes2 with this version of Mac OS". I have Mac OS X.1
Do you have a version of beaTunes that works with Mac OS X?
Thanks, Kathy

Hi Kathy,
Which version of OS X do you have? 10.4, 10.5 or 10.6?
You can find out by clicking on the Apple in the upper left corner of the screen and then "About This Mac".

Hi,
unfortunately 2.1.2 does not work with 10.4 anymore.
but you could try the previous version, 2.0.19.
You can get it from http://www.beatunes.com/beatunes-download-old.html
Thanks,
-hendrik

Thank you again Hendrik
I downloaded beaTunes 2.0.19, and dragged it over to applications.
I read something on the website saying "Start beaTunes".
How do I do this?
Thanks again so much
Kathy

I have Win XP itunes 9.0.2.25 and just downloaded your trial version. I have my iTunes music stored on an external drive. I cannot get beaTunes to see it. I have changed general Preferences but it places a grey exclamation point telling me it is out of date and has not bee used in a while. I just added Cd's to it this month. How can I get beaTunes to see my full Library. It shows me a c: drive library with 600 songs but I have over 6,000 on my external.
Thanks for any help. Kimberly

Hi Kimberly,
most likely you have picked the wrong iTunes Music Library file.
Does beaTunes offer any other files? Note that they don't have to reside on the external drive to describe the audio files on the external drive.

they only offer those two by default. I did a search and the one itunes references is actually the most current. I didn't realize it would be on my C drive not E. However, it does not show all the music. How can I get it to show all the music? When I try to manually synchronize it tells me I already am.

It should show you all the music that is exported in that file by iTunes.
Can you categorize what's missing?

Thank you for your help. I uninstalled and re-installed and everything
