the app is constantly crashing and then I rebuild everything and after a while it crashes and I have to start from scratch.

   Hi André,

   thank you for your logs. For some reason the garbage collector (a part of the memory management system) is going nuts for you. This is something new for me—I have not seen it on other systems before.

   Can you please install the current dev snapshot from https://www.beatunes.com/download/beaTunes-5-2-10-SNAPSHOT.dmg ? It is configured to use a different garbage collection algorithm, which hopefully works better for you. Please let me know, if you are continuing to experience these crashes and if you do, please upload a fresh set of logs.

   Please note that this snapshot is meant specifically for you. For now, the official release will still use the garbage collector you are apparently having so much trouble with.

   Note that this fix will probably won't make it into the main line. You might want to not update beaTunes for a while.
