Playlists not syncing

Playlists are not syncing for me between Beatunes and Apple's Music app, as shown in attached screen grab (Music on left, Beatunes on right - taken immediately after a sync, but I've synced at least a dozen times since I noticed, to no avail).

I'm in the process of reimporting all my music into a fresh library, so you'll see I have a specific smart playlist of stuff I still need to run through Beatunes. Obviously I can work around this by viewing by date added in Beatunes, but once everything is analysed I will need to be able to access other playlists.

It's probably something INCREDIBLY obvious and I'm sure I'll kick myself, but if anyone could give me a hint, my musical OCD would be enormously grateful!

Setup is up to date:
Beatunes 5.2.8
Apple Music 1.0.4.104
macOS 10.15.4

(As a non-fluent German speaker, I'm also slightly surprised that I have a couple of German named playlists at the end, but I figure any fix for my main problem may also resolve those)

    Hey Andy,

not sure what fails here... can you please synchronize again and then upload your logs via Help -> Upload Logs? That would allow me to see what's going on.

    Thanks,

Hi Hendrik! Thanks for your speedy response!

As requested, I’ve performed another sync and uploaded the logs.

I should note that all songs, even newly added, show up and can be analysed in Beatunes - so the core functionality is not affected

    Many thanks
    Andy

    Hey Andy,

it looks like after that last sync, a lot of playlists were deleted from beaTunes, because they don't exist in Music anymore. Did that improve the situation?

Also, any chance you have changed Music libraries while beaTunes was running?

    Cheers,

    -hendrik

    Hi Hendrik

To be honest, I’m still having the same problem, but now that some of Doug’s scripts are misbehaving as well, I now suspect it’s an Apple Music library error.

I am going to rebuild from scratch (aargh!) and hopefully that will fix any problems. I appreciate your help and support

Well, makes me glad it might not be beaTunes at fault after all!

I meant to follow up on this quite some time ago. In the end, I believe my Music library was corrupt. I deleted it, reimported my music and it's been working as intended with BeaTunes since (and other third-party management software)

The addiitonal playlists were coming in via Apple's Podcasts and/or Video apps. I'd made a smart playlist that didn't specify music only, so the same playlist appeared in all three players with media appropriate to the app.

Many thanks to Hendrik for your help both on here and by email!
