Beatunes 5.2.7
Beatunes will not open (hung?) after installing 5.2.7. It always opened prior to this most recent update. My operating system is macOS Catalina: Version 10.15.4.

Hi Robert,
can you please send me your logs? This article describes how. Please read the whole article. How to send when beaTunes is not starting is described further down.
Thank you,

Hendrick, I believe I uploaded my Beatunes logs correctly. Please let me know if you didn't receive them. Wes Lane (Robert)

Hey Wes,
I don't think I have received your logs. How did you try to do it? Simply attach it to this discussion (easier via the web interface, link is below)?
Thanks,
-hendrik

Attached below are logs I found for Beatunes. I hope I have done this correctly and they are the logs you requested.

I am sorry, Wes, but that's not the logs. I'm a little puzzled how you ended up attaching those files.
Anyhow. Please do the following:
Terminal
(it's in/Applications/Utilities
)zip -rj Desktop/beaTunesLogs.zip Library/Logs/beaTunes/
Enter
keybeaTunesLogs.zip
on your desktop.Thank you!

Update: This may be helpful in resolving the issue. After rebooting my computer this evening, I was finally able to get Beatunes to open, however, it seems to get hung when synchronizing with iTunes music library. The synchronizing window doesn't close, unless I press 'cancel,' which in turn aborts synchronization. See attached screenshots below:

Hendrick, First of all I want to say I appreciate the attention and guidance you have provided me thus far. Thank you. Hopefully, the screenshot I've provided will help. So, upon opening 'terminal,' the message to the right was all that appeared, explaining that the interactive shell is now 'zsh.' So, I opened 'terminal' preferences. To the left are 'terminal' preferences with shell open. Is that the command line I use to type in: zip -rj Desktop/beaTunesLogs.zip Library/Logs/beaTunes/ or do I need to update my terminal account first, as directed in the message to the right? Can I get the information you've requested without updating the terminal account? I have yet to alter or enter or change anything at this point.

Hey there,
please simply run the synchronization again. If it hangs at the end, please just let it hang for a while. The progress bar is misleading—the process is still active importing data from the Music.app. This is one of the changes that became necessary for macOS 10.15. Perhaps I should change it so that the perceived "hang" occurs at 90% and not at 100% to make this more intuitive.
Hope this helps,
-hendrik

And regarding
zsh
: Since you were able to upload the logs via the regular mechanism (from within the app), we don't have to worry about that anymore. Thanks for trying this though!
