key is not displayed (correctly)
Hi,
I detect the tonal key with an external program (KeyFinder). But BeaTunes does not display the detected key.
BeaTunes settings: Key format: traditional
I analyze the song with KeyFinder. Result: Fm (which is being written in TKEY)
I open BeaTunes but the key is not displayed.
I analyze the song and the result (F) is being written in TKEY.
When I change TKEY again outside of beaTunes the change is not reflected in beaTunes.
System: Mac 10.14.6
BeaTunes 5.2.4

Hi,
Does your external software change the last modified date of the file?
And what kind of beaTunes library do you use? Folder-based or iTunes/Music-based?
Merry Christmas,

The iTunes/Music-based collection is not designed to automatically pick up changes from any other programs but iTunes/Music, i.e., the file system is not scanned for changes.
If you want to automatically pick up changes by 3rd party programs that manipulate files, you should therefore use the folder-based mode (but then of course loose communication with iTunes).
Alternatively, you can also select the files in question and choose
File -> Refresh Metadata
(shortcut ⌘-K). That should import 3rd party key detection results.4 Posted by justb72 on 26 Dec, 2019 08:45 AM
