java.lang.Unsupported... The BROWSE_FILE_DIR action is not supported on the current platform!
Hi Hendrik
I have been getting this error lately. This time it happened when I was creating a playlist (m3u). It does create the playlist anyway, but the list is not in the correct order. Looks like it may not be sorting or ordering the list --- maybe this is a clue. Anyway I am sending You The system specifications to answer any questions about the system platform.
Just thought I would let You know about this. It is a minor issue for me.

I tried to download and install the Media Feature Pack for Windows 10 for version 1903 but when I try to install the update I get:
2 Posted by thomson.gb on 09 Nov, 2019 08:20 AM
Also, this time the playlist was empty when I tried it. I do remember that when I got this before I was able to make a playlist, but it was incomplete and unsorted, so the error must have occurred at some point while it was being created...
Thanks again, Hendrik.
...Still love beaTunes!

No problem!
Could you please update to v5.2.1, reproduce the issue and upload your logs (via
Help
->Upload Logs
, from within the application)? That would give me a better idea what exactly goes wrong and hopefully a hint how to fix it.Thank you!

Hey Grace,
thanks for making me aware ion this. It's caused by a bug in Java.
I have managed to create a workaround. If you want to try it out, please download and install the current dev snapshot from https://www.beatunes.com/download/beaTunes-5-2-2-SNAPSHOT-x64.exe
Cheers,

Hendrik,
I tried out your workaround version. It seems to work. No error message and everything seems to be okay. Will You apply this fix to your next release version?
Thank You, Hendrik.
Regards.

This comment was split into a new discussion: iTunes for windows does not support this field in it's API
Hey Hendrik,
If You want me to open another topic I will, but I thought I would just tell You about one other thing that I noticed. When I click on the heart in the listing for a song in beatunes, it gives me a quick pop-up message "iTunes for windows does not support this field in it's API". In Windows iTunes (I have v12.7) there is a field with the same designation and I use it all the time. I just wanted to make You aware of that....
