beaTunes just stops Analysing - no error

I'v just installed the latest version 5.2.0 onto my MacBook Pro (running Mojave) having not used beaTunes on my Win PC for quite a while. Not surprisingly, I was prompted to analyse my library, however beaTunes just stops after a while (2-3 minutes). The most recent attempt showed 19255 files to analyse and it has now stopped at 17824. It did throw an error at one point in the messages, saying "Failed to use online resources. java.net.socketException. Unexpected end of file from server" but Analysis did carry on, but then stopped a couple of minutes later.

The "Task queue" is still showing the animated dots and the "Pause Analysis" can be clicked but nothing will stop or restart analysis. I have to close beaTunes and restart it to make a little more progress.

I searched help and discussion but didn't find anything. Are there log files I can check to see what's happening?

Thanks in advance.

Does clicking on "Pause Analysis" and then "Resume Analysis" restart it?

(I assume there may be a network issue at fault)

The "Pause Analysis" button does work and the animated dots in "Task Queue..." stop but waiting a moment and clicking it again doesn't restart Analysis. The three dots are animated once again but no files are being processed.

Hm. What about restarting the application and then making sure analysis is resumed (if its paused)?

Yes, that will restart analysis again but only for another 2-3 minutes and then it just stops (again). Very bizarre!

That indeed hints at a network issue.... Do you see the socket exception again?

Not this time. I was previously connected to my office public WiFi which is very fast and rarely a problem . I just tried tethering to my phone (fast 4G coverage) and this time there was no network error. I guess I could try at home later...

Alternatively, you could try the latest dev snapshot. It's available at https://www.beatunes.com/download/beaTunes-5-2-1-SNAPSHOT.dmg

5.2.1 seems much better although I've not done a full analysis again. Consider this closed for now - thank you for you help!
