beaTunes crasched during track analysis and won't start again
Hi!
Yesterday I was using beaTunes for determening BPM on a list of tracks. The list contained 600+ tracks and the program had been running and successfully analyzing tracks for more than one hour when it suddenly crached. I wasn't sitting at the PC when the program crached so I couldn't see if something abnormal happend before the crach, I only found out when I was going to check the progress and noted that the program wasn't running.
I tried to restart the program but got the "Crach report" dialog box. I agreed to creating a crasch report (enclosed). Then I got the "Database locked" popup. I tried both continuing without unlocking as well as trying to unlock. Both attempts failed. For a short moment (less than one second) there were a popup saying something, bet it disappeared before I had any chance to read what it said.
Please advise how to proceed to get the program to function normally again. I really need this excellent program and the things it can do!
Br,
Leif S

Hi Leif,
Sorry for the late answer.
Unfortunately, I can't really see it in your logs, but more likely than not, your beaTunes database got corrupted during the crash.
You can recover from this by deleting the database. It should be located at
C:\Documents and Settings\Local Settings\Application Data\tagtraum industries\beaTunes\database
- simply delete or rename that directory. Note, that you will loose some data doing that, unless you chose to embed non-iTunes fields into the audio files (option in beaTunes general preferences).Hope this helps,

Hi!
Yes, issue solved, after a couple of tries.
I turned out that there were a bunch of mp3-files that beaTunes didn't like. After deleting the database and getting the program to start again, I got a message that a specific mp3-file probably was corrupt and that I shouldn't include that in an analysis again. So, I restarted the analysis that had been aborted, excluding this specific track. After a while the program once again crasched. After again deleting the database and restarting the program I again got a message about a mp3-file that beaTunes claims to be corrupt. Both files belong to the same album and there are no problems playing them... I little bit weird if You ask me.....
However, excluding that particular album made everything work just fine.
Let me know if You would like additional information about these files that beaTunes claims are corrupt, for You to investigate more in detail if You are interested.
Thanks for the assistance!
Br,
Leif

Hi Leif!
Thanks for getting back to me.
Yes! I would love to have one of those files to figure out what's really going on (and potentially file a bug report with Apple).

Hi again!
Here's the first file that the program complained about.
