   How did you get to that URL? Using which browser?

   http://coxy.beatunes.com/download/beaTunes-5-1-14.dmg works as well.

   Browser:
   Firefox Quantum v68.0 (64-bit) running Adblock Plus, HTTPS Everywhere, DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials, Ghostery.

   The URL untimately came from Beatunes v5.1.13 Download page:
   https://www.beatunes.com/en/beatunes-download.html?utm_source=beaTunes5.1&utm_campaign=none&utm_medium=application

   Clicking on the MacOS platform link brought up the link in question.

   BTW, using your first URL below (not coxy), I was able to update Beatunes to 5.1.14.

   HTTPS Everywhere

   That's the issue. Because of that plugin, you were trying to connect to the coxy server via HTTPS, but it only supports HTTP.

   While the download defaults to HTTP, there is always also a HTTPS option available on the download page, which is of course the safer option.

   Hendrik, well, OK, makes perfect sense. I should have thought of that too. Usually, the HTTPS plugin throws a warning page up and let’s me know a HTTPS site could not be found. That didn’t happen and i didn’t notice what it was doing. I’ll remember this and look for it down the road. Thank you for your help and I’d consider this case closed with no further action needed.
