I just can't get it to find lyrics to popular albums like all of the songs on the latest Anne-Marie speak your mind album.

How do you look up lyrics?
Via the analysis task or the Get Info pane?

I guess that means you are using the analysis.
Can you please try to select one of those songs, then open the Get Info dialog (e.g. via the File menu) and select the lyrics pane. There lookup lyrics. Does that work better?

Same result… This thing was once great for fining song lyrics… I guess they are using a different service now for lyrics now and it is not as good. A real shame as this was once a really good program.

I can assure you that the way lyrics are looked up has not changed in quite a while.
I've just tried to reproduce the issue with "Peak" and lyrics were found just fine. Not sure what happened there, as your log clearly state that the lyrics were not found.

BTW: they also show that "Perfect" by Anne-Marie was found just fine.

I have encountered the same issue recently: when I analyse songs beatunes 5.1.8 cannot find any lyrics for any song, for instance for “A Moon Shaped Pool” by Radiohead (2016) which is surely not an obscure album or a very new one.

I'm terribly sorry, but the lyrics lookup will not be improved any further for beaTunes 5—in fact it may disappear in beaTunes 6. It has always been just a glorified web-search (for personal use), not a perfect solution. This is also the reason why it has never been advertised on the product web page.

A source on beaTunes that talk about this feature:

The main reason I bought this software was for this functionality. I don't
use it anymore because this is not working and now wouldn't have any reason
    to buy a future version.

Also based on the many posts on this topic I find on the support page it
looks like many people wanted this functionality. At one time it worked
very well. But now it is a total waste of time.

Sad because this was once a very good product. The last time I ran it it
renamed all the songs in a new "A Star is Born" album incorrectly that had
correct names (because it was purchased from iTunes) and didn't find
    any lyrics.

So I am done with it.
