Installation Problem / "Could not create Java Virtual Machine"
Hi,
when installing the new version this problem occured: "Could not
create Java Virtual Machine"
I tried already to unistall my version of java, but the problem
stayed. beatunes is starting, but when i want to analyze my
database, it's not able to look up the puid and this message is
displayed: "...java.io.IOException: Music DNS servers cannot be
reached right now."
Is this part of the Java Problem or some kind of Problem with the online database?
Thanks for your help in advance
Carsten

Hi,
the Music DNS problem is not connected to a Java problem, apparently the third party data provider MusicIP/AmpliFind is having some problem. I just checked and they appear to be available again. Could you please try again?
Thanks,

Hi Hendrik,
thanks for your fast reply. I checked, but the data provider still seems to have trouble. Or do i need check wether my Firewall blocks it? Whats with the other issue when installing the prog. Does beatunes works without it?
Best Carsten

Hi Carsten,
well - since it uses the net, you definitely need to create an opening in your firewall for outgoing traffic..
beaTunes comes with its own Java and does not need an external one. If you still see that message (could not create VM) but beaTunes does start up - simply ignore the message.
