I keep getting a java.net timeout when trying to connect through my proxy. See http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/javatips/jw-javatip42.html for implementation guidance.

If it is supposed to already support, more info: http proxy, setup in env variables as http_proxy and within Window's IE proxy settings (which set the global settings seen by the tip)

    Hi Rob,

thanks for your email. Allowing to set a proxy is on the todo list for beaTunes 3. I simply won't be able to still incorporate that into the 2.1 branch.

PS: In case you are a Java guy - the 'official' 2 cents on proxies can be found at http://download.oracle.com/javase/6/docs/technotes/guides/net/proxi...
