Beatunes 2.1.12 doesn't apply changes on itunes 10
Good afternoon,
I've just downloaded beatunes 2.1.12 on apple.com and wanted to try it out.
Everything went perfect during installation and beatunes starts properly. The problem is that after analyzing my itunes library the program won't apply any changes it proposes.
I'm running beatunes under Mac OS 10.6.4. I'd have sent you my log files but I don't even have a "beatunes" folder in my "[your_home]/Library/Logs/"
Any idea ? Does this version support itunes10?
Anyway, thanks for your help and time.
Best regards

Hi Tony,
iTunes 10 is definitely supported - not sure what's going wrong. Can you please check again, whether you can find that folder
~/Library/Logs/beaTunes
- it would contain any useful info.-hendrik

Hi Hendrik,
Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately I've tried again and again but nothing new.
As I told you, beatunes starts without any problem. It scans my itunes library and finds a lot of stuff to change but when I try to apply the changes it simply doesn't apply them and asks if the problem has been solved.
I also don't know why the folder /library/logs/beatunes doesn't exist on my HD...
Still no idea about what could be problem?
Thanks again,
T.

Hi Tony,
the logs are not in
/Library/Logs/beaTunes
- they are in~/Library/Logs/beaTunes
The
~
stands for your home folder, not the root folder of your harddrive. So, assuming your username is tony, then it would be
/Users/tony/Library/Logs/beaTunes
.Hope that helps you find the logs..

Good evening Hendrik,
I finally found the logs. I assumed they were in the library folder on root but they were in users/tony/library/logs/beatunes as you said. My mistake.
Please find in attachement my log files. As I'm not a real pro about handling files, I just copied the whole text in a txt file. Hope it will help to find what's wrong.
Thanks again,
Best regards
Tony

Hi Tony,
I see you using the inspection feature - but what I don't see is you applying the changes you asked beaTunes to do. To do so, hit the Commit button in the inspection dialog - then beaTunes will apply the changes.

Good evening Hendrik,
Can't believe I missed that... ;-) Anyway, you solved my problem and now I can test beatunes without any problem.
Thank you very much again for your time and patience,
Best regards,
Tony
