Application will not Quit

beaTunes 2.1.12 Will not quit and I cannot shut down my macbook. Can you help?

    You mean, beaTunes does not react at all to Command-Q?
    Does it do anything, like showing the shut down dialog?

    It does not react to command-Q. I can also click the option in the menu. Just nothing happens. There is no option to force quit, the application is not frozen. It just doesn't respond.

    ! I was just taking a screen shot of the menu, and it shut down!
    I tried so many times before I don't understand what happened.
