Beatunes is slow deleting files
I selected about 50 songs I wanted to delete from my library and had beatunes delete them. It did delete them, but it took FOREVER, like 15 minutes to delete the files. I have no other tasks running in beatunes, no other programs running on my computer, I have updated to the most recent version of beatunes, and I'm running on a macbook pro. I shouldn't have to wait this long to delete some files. I mind as well use iTunes. In general beatunes has been quite slow, but deleting takes forever.

Hi Dustin,
Thanks for your message. Could you please provide some more detail?
There are multiple ways in beaTunes to delete files... Which one did you choose?
Also, how many songs do you have in your library and do you have a lot of playlists?
Thanks,
-hendrik

I am a dj si have about 38,000 songs and about 50 playlists. As far as
deletion method i was just on the main library screen on beatunes,
highlighted songs, and hit delete. Interestingly enough, it deletes
them much faster when i analyze my library, and commit solutions
( delete duplicates, ect). So i guess if there is just a dew songs i
want to delete ill just use itunes. No biggie.

Hey Dustin,
thanks for making me aware of this. The delete context action still contained some slow and old code that I had since rewritten for deletion of dupes etc.
For 2.1.11, the code will be updated and probably quite a bit faster (but unfortunately not lightning fast).
Thanks again.
Have a great Sunday!
