I just purchased beaTunes after trying the free trial version which worked
for a bit. I deleted the free trial version because it crashed, then
purchased the new one, downloaded the new one using the download link on the
website. When I tried to open it i got the fatal error, JDBCException. I
went through the trouble shooting but there was no database to delete within
my application support folder, please help. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

in the application support folder should be a beaTunes folder and in that folder should be a Database folder, which is the one mentioned in the troubleshooting article. Please double-check - it really should be there.

If for whatever reason it's not, please send me your logs. They are in ~/Library/Logs/beaTunes - please zip/archive the whole folder.

    Thanks,

    -hendrik

    Hey,
There is no beatunes folder in my application support folder. I am running on a mac os 10.5.8, latest version of beatunes. There are no beatunes folders to be found anywhere i double checked, even when i drag the file into the application folder because beatunes is still on my desktop, and that does nothing except load it into my applications folder but thats all.

    Hi,

Just to make sure we are talking about the same Application Support
    folder.
I'm talking about the one in /Users/YOURUSERNAME/Library/Application
    Support/beaTunes.

Is that the one you looked in?
If not, can you start beaTunes again and look again?

    Thanks,

    -hendrik

I am sure that is the one I looked in, and yes even when I start beaTunes and check again, it still won't start and it's not in there.

    Hi,

I know this may sound silly, but plz check again. Beatunes simply work at all without that folder.

    Thank you,

Yes, at this point this is ridiculous. Beatunes hasn't properly started once since i purchased it, the TRIAL worked but the actual fully copy has not. I've checked that same folder you've asked me to multiple times and i've searched my whole system, and at this point i've deleted and reinstalled the program 5 times. Not one time did a beatunes folder with any other folder (i.e.-database), show up in my library/application support. Please either send me a link to download a working MAC version of beatunes, or a full refund.

    Hi,

I'm more than happy to send you a refund, if you don't get it to work.

If there is no ~/Library/Application Support/beaTunes folder, is there a folder called ~/Library/Logs/beaTunes - if so, could you please zip it and send it to me? It probably contains information telling me why things are not working.

    Thanks,

    -hendrik

I do like the working version of the program but everyone complains about
the crashes and i can't even get it to start. Anyway, i found the database
folder in the beatunes logs folder. here are both attatched archived. if you
could make this work i would appreciate it.

    Hi,

    Thanks for those files.
I checked out your database. Unfortunately it got corrupted, please
    simply delete the folder

    /Users/Shadi/Library/Application Support/beaTunes/Database

By doing this, you will loose all data not stored anywhere else, but
    beaTunes will run again.

Please let me know, if that solves the issue.

    Thanks,

    -hendrik

    Hi,

can you please send me a fresh set of logs? That way I can see what's causing this exception.

    Thanks,

Well, that is odd, but certainly welcome :-)
I don't know, if you have noticed, but I send you a complete refund the other day.

I hope everything goes smoothly from here on.
