<p>beaTunes is only aware of newly added tracks right after a synchronization. That's when it scans your library and computes the difference. If you don't synchronize for a while it will also notify you.</p>
<p>Depending on whether you manipulate things a lot outside of beaTunes, I would recommend turning automatic synchronization on window activation <em>off</em> (general preferences) and manually sync every now and then (File -> Synchronize). This effectively turns the "annoying" popups off, i.e. they only appear after you have manually initiated a synchronization. Manually synchronizing also makes beaTunes overall more responsive, as the system does not try to sync on every window switch. But again - how well that works for you depends on how you use beaTunes and other apps.</p>
