Duplicate file handling

Hi Hendrik,

Is there a method to direct BeaTunes to move any duplicate files deleted from the library, into a designated location? For example, I would find it really helpful if I could go through my very large number of acoustic duplicates and have BeaTunes delete the files from the library, yet move those files to an external drive or other location that I specify. That way if I made a mistake (or BeaTunes made a mistake) in dealing with a duplicate file, I could simply retrieve the file from the failsafe location, while there would be the immediate benefit of removing the duplicates from the library. That would be a big improvement.

Thanks!
John

    Hey John,

    thanks for the suggestion.

If possible, beaTunes moves files to the trash instead of completely deleting them. However, on some shared drives or non-local storage locations this may not be supported.
