it's in the GUI
I have some sugestions for the gui.
1) Move the menu item called prefferences from the edit menu to the
tools menu.
2) Add a top level menu called view. Move the show* menu items from
the edit menu to the new view menu.
3) add a 'show current song' function. (like in itunes; move the
cursor to the playin song)
4) One of the preferences settings is to change the UI-theme. When
you change this setting, the playlist pane is not updated with the
theme, like the other parts of the screen. Why not?.

Hi,
thanks for your suggestions.
1) It's in Edit, because that's where iTunes has it (in Windows)
2) Yes, there should probably be a View menu. I'll put it on the list.
3) Yes
4) I'm not sure what you expect here? Is it updated, once you restart the app?

To explain suggestion 4 i have attached a screenshot.
I changed the ui theme to 'diamond plate'. Attached is a screenshot , after
a restart of the app. The paylist pane on the right remains blue. I expect this also to change. (Beatunes for windows)

Do you mean the playlist pane on the left or the right, i.e. the tree or the striped list?
Either is actually not supposed to change, as it would make it impossible to really read either one.

Yes, some backrounds are to obvious. If there is a tekst, the backgound should be dimmed (shaded), so the characters stand out.
But i also have a functional suggestion.
In itunes you can set prefferences for the space between songs. Example in the menu edit->preferences->play you can select to blend the songs. (or no bend)
However, this is general for all the playlists. This is not alway's appropriate for all playlists with different music types. (Yes for house or pop, no for jazz or classic)
Can you make this a option, for each playlist individual?.

Unortunately that's not possible.
