Hello Support-Team,
i just got the trial-version from bea-tunes. I want to detect the bpm for songs, which i get from apple music in itues. Is there a way to do that? I found some Information about getting the bpm from a specific database. But which settings do I have to put in Beatunes for that? And do I have to download the apple-Music-songs for that?
Thanks for your Answer,
Ray

    Hey Ray,

downloaded Apple Music tracks are DRM-crippled and therefore beaTunes cannot access the audio part of the songs. What is possible, is to lookup BPM values in the online database based on textual metadata. But I'm not entirely sure, whether iTunes supports changing the BPM value of Apple Music tracks (regardless of where the information is from).

To use the database, please select the songs you want to analyze and then choose the settings from the attached screenshot. Please let me know, if this works for you.

    Thanks,

    -hendrik

    Hello Hendrik,

thank you for your quick reply.

    I will try that.

But where in the software can I find the settings?

    I use bea-tunes and Itunes on a windows10 System.

    Thanks,

    Ray

    Hello Hendrik,

so far it works. I can manualy override (means define, because the column comes empty) the BPM values in Apple-Music Tracks. Works even when they are not Downloaded in iTunes. And it is possible to create intelligent Playlists bases on these bpm-values. And the Playlists can be transferred via icloud to my IPhone.

So everything works fine, i just have to get the BPM-Values with Bea-tunes, based on the metadata, Apple-Music Provides.

    Looking forward to your answer,

    best wishes,

    Ray
