Apple has finally released iTunes 11. They are claiming that there are some major changes. Does the latest version of beaTunes work with iTunes 11?

As far as I can tell, most iTunes changes are cosmetic in nature...
beaTunes 3.5.9 should work just fine.

To clarify -- it's taking about 10 - 20 seconds to delete song through finding duplicates and committing solutions. If I try to cancel or stop the processing in order to close beatunes, it locks.

Was this faster with iTunes 10?
Due to the internal structure in beaTunes, deleting has always been a bit of a pain :-(

But I'm certainly interested in looking into it. Can you please send me your logs?
http://help.beatunes.com/kb/troubleshooting/where-are-the-beatunes-... tells you where to find them and how to send them.

    Thanks!

Yeah, it was WAY faster before. And the only reason I know is that I've been sorting through a couple thousand duplicates the last week and only updated yesterday.

Sorry for all the comments, but just another data point. Even if I simply alt-tab to beatunes while deleting, I get the pinwheel for 10 - 15 seconds. I'm running a BRAND new MB Retina with 16 gb of RAM.

    No problem.

But you are right - iTunes takes its sweet time to delete stuff. Take a look at this section of your logs:

This is the stuff beaTunes does to delete something:

    1) First it asks for the tracks,
    2) then it asks for the class of the returned track (to make sure it's a file),
    3) the it checks the location,
    4) moves the file to the trash
    5) and finally it asks iTunes to delete the track

According to the time stamps, deletion takes roughly 24 seconds.
Perhaps that has something to do with your collection size (~30k), but at the moment I simply can't tell.
It's not beaTunes taking forever, it's iTunes.

I really don't know and have no way of checking right now.
    Sorry.
