BPM calculation and overwrite

On a lot of songs I've reduced the BPM by half using beaTunes by clicking the <-> arrow to select the other option.

If I analyse my existing library and set the BPM calculation to overwrite existing value, will it revert it back to the original BPM that it recalculates, or will it honour the fact that I've used the option to halve it?

If you choose to overwrite BPM values, they will most definitely be overwritten, completely regardless of whether you at some point manipulated them in any way.
