The size in bytes does not matter. Instead the number of songs is relevant. Also, how is the library connected to your computer? SSD, internal HDD, USB2, USB3, NAS? The faster the connection the better.
No known issues.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply!
I have about 167000tracks and they are connected through firewire to a nas
drive (drobo) to a Makbookpro.
Will it work?

Hey,
you've got me a little puzzled. Strictly speaking, NAS(=Network Attached Storage) connected via FireWire is by definition not network attached.
Drobo == DropBox? If the data is in the cloud, this will not work. The data needs to be locally stored.
To my knowledge, FireWire has not been built into Macs for quite a while, which seems to imply fairly old hardware. My guess is, it will work, but it will be quite slow due to the size of the collection and the slow disk I/O (compared to an internal hard drive or an SSD).
Also, because of your large collection, beaTunes may benefit from a little more RAM than usual. To grant it, please
(I'm assuming you have at least 4GB of physical RAM installed)
My guess is, this will not be very much fun. But since the trial is free, you might as well give it a shot.
Cheers,

Hi there,
again, thanks for answering me.
First my system: Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro5,5
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.53 GHz
Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 3 MB
Memory: 8 GB
Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz
Boot ROM Version: MBP55.00AC.B03
SMC Version (system): 1.47f2
Serial Number (system): W89512ED66J
Hardware UUID: BDEF9DA0-F1DF-5AF1-AC53-5030B10B77F5
Sudden Motion Sensor:
State: Enabled
I am running Yosemite.
I ma getting an error message: "A fatal error during initialisation: org.hibernate exception JDBCC Connection Exception"
and it freezes!
All the data is on external Drobo of 4x3tb hard disks connected to the Mac via firewire 800, which is pretty fast.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Aziz

Hey,
something seems to be wrong with the internal database.
Can you send me your logs (whole folder, zipped), please?
See http://help.beatunes.com/kb/troubleshooting/where-are-the-beatunes-... for where they are.
Cheers,
-hendrik

Hi Hendrik,
thanks again for trying to help!
Are these the files you wanted?
Yosemite for some reason hides the Library... anyway, I eventually found it...

Hi Aziz,
please do the following:
/Users/azizdikeulias/Library/Application Support/beaTunes/Database/Then start beaTunes—startup may take a while.
If something goes wrong, please send me a fresh set of logs. It's usually easiest to simply zip the complete beaTunes logs folder, as the logs compress very well.
Thank you,
-hendrik
