Analyze only unanalyzed songs
I interrupted and cleared my analysis queue hoping to stop it from running for days, as I'm going away on vacation.
Can't seem to find a way to analyze just the songs that haven't been analyzed since upgrading to 3.5.
If the Music "sort" columns included "Last Analysis" I could select the ones that really need analyzing.
Any ideas? Am I missing something?
Thx

Hi,
what features would you like to analyze for?
You could simply sort by that feature...
Background: When a songs has been analyzed is not stored anywhere.

Hi,
Well it was analyzing for three hours and I interrupted it.
It insists on reanalyzing the songs (3 hours worth) it just analyzed.
I was hoping I could tell it to resume, but I already clicked "clear task queue".
If it "knew" when a song had been analyzed I could tell it to analyze anything not analyzed in the last <day> <week> whatever.
I think I have to wait three hours for it to catch up to where it was.
Reason I'm analyzing is I believe you said that colors have changed meanings, so reanalyzing the entire library is probably called for. ?
Thx
Russ

Hi Russ,
beaTunes only checks what songs were added to the library since the last start. Whether they have been analyzed at that point or not, it does not know.

So what you are saying is there is no way to log those files that have already been analysed?
I only want to analyse songs I have not previously run through (mostly due to the long time involved)

Well, you can order by any feature (BPM or key) and only analyze those songs that have not been analyzed yet.
But that aside - if you don't
replacea feature, beaTunes will not run the corresponding analysis, if the feature already exists, thus avoiding unnecessary work.-hendrik

Thank you for your swift reply.
That makes sense.
