sort specific to #4
My library is14k+. I analyzed about 150 songs just to see the differences. I thought tags were new so I sorted on tags. Then grabbed about 15000 songs and started the squirrel cage. ( about 140/hr) checking results I am beginning to think tags sort won't identify all songs analyzed. Is there a better way?

Would love to help, but I don't quite understand what you mean with "tags sort".

Using brand new version 4. With itunes. Everything has already been analyzed by beatunes 3. Want to updated to 4 with mood, tags and whatever else is new. Started with 6000 songs. Have 8000 to go. But i sorted on tags before Doing first 6k songs.
How do I sort to separate songs analyzed by version 4 from those that are not. windows

You can either select songs in the main table and then click on
Analyzeor simply click onAnalyze all Songsin theToolsmenu. After you clicked on either one, you are shown the
Analysis Optionsdialog. There all analysis tasks have a little checkbox namedReplace existing value:Sorting does not really play a role in this.
That all said: The beaTunes color scheme has changed and I recommend to replace all color values when running beaTunes 4 analysis to get a consistent picture. Also, if you don't care about the segmentation or replay gain values, don't analyze them. Both are calculation intensive and will prolong your analysis time a lot.
Hope this helps,
