Questions about duplicate songs and ratings matching....
Have not yet purchased/tried Beatunes 4, but am planning on doing so this Fall/Winter.
Cold weather months will be the perfect time to clean up my music!
One of the Beatunes features that I really love is the way it lets me know if the same song in my library has a different rating, and giving me the option of applying that rating to all instances of that song in my library.
Is it possible with Beatunes4 to ignore title data that contains [,],(,) when matching?
This would be very useful for me.

I'm not entirely certain I understand what exactly you want. Can you give an example?
Thanks,

Sure....
Sometimes, a song title will have something like (feat. Dr. Dre) added to the end of the title. If you have multiple instances of a song (say - the original album and a compilation), where one has the extra parenthesis info and the other does not, they are treated as different songs.
As such, having an option of ignoring bracketed title data would be useful.
This would not always work, as bracketed title data is occasionally song specific, such as when it is a remix version, or something like (Part 1).

There are many pitfalls in name-based duplicate detection. Therefore, additionally to name-based duplicate detection, beaTunes 4 supports acoustic fingerprint-based duplicate detection. To take advantage of it, one must first compute fingerprints for all songs via analysis.
