Can I run beaTunes 4.0 in Mac OS 10.6.8?

Will beaTunes 4.0 not run at all on 10.6.8?

    Quick answer: beaTunes 4 will not run 10.6.8.

    beaTunes requires a Java Virtual Machine (JVM) to run on. The old Apple JVM available for 10.6.8 is antique by now and not supported anymore by Apple. The replacement JVM, produced by Oracle, requires at least OS X 10.7.3.
    And because beaTunes 4 is based on the Oracle JVM, it cannot run on 10.6.x anymore.
