How do changes made on Mac, like replay gain, get copied to iPhone or iPod?

Hello, I am considering purchasing a license for Beatunes and could not find an answer for this by searching the FAQ / questions.
I would run the program on a Mac. I'm very interested in the "Adjust Gain" function, which I understand will level out the sound volume. I realize I need to use Soundcheck on my iPhone or iPod for this to work.
What is not clear to me however, if I check the "compute replay gain" box, do track level analysis, and also check the box "replace existing replay gain", will that update the sound level for songs on the Mac?

If the songs on the Mac are updated, do they automatically sync via iTunes to my iPod and iPhone, including the updated "replay gain" changes? Or do I have to delete all my music from the iPod / iPhone and reload it from iTunes in entirety?

Finally, the "replace replay gain" only works with a paid version, correct?
thank you.

It will add some standard tags to your files and update the non-standard iTunes tags, provided that Soundcheck in iTunes is on.
iTunes will then use the track replay gain values computed by beaTunes.

That is a question I cannot answer. Perhaps Apple knows an answer to this.

No - it's fully functional in the 14 day trial.

Interesting. I am considering BeaTunes for a similar task, loudness adjustment on a large library (10000+ songs) from a large number of different sources. Even the 80% songs "matched" from itunes do require considerable adjustment, if used in playlist. If adjustment that works in iTunes on Mac does not propagate to, say, iPhone, Apple has done a really poor job.

Before I spend the license fee, I would like to know whether there is a recommended procedure or at least some tipps. I have loads of manual gain adjustments. The initial tests with a 10 song testing playlist did not give very promising results, so I wonder if it would make sense to clean up the manual settings before letting BT do the job. I even had funny (not) syncing effects between iTunes and BT when creating the test list. The songs did not exactly sync. Just the interprets were correct. Weird. Of course: not reproducible...

Are there other recommended settings available, experience, reports... Note, I use large smart playlists in iTunes, some with a 1000+ tunes, which I want to randomly play.
