The upgrade from 3 to 4 is not free, since a lot of work went
into it.

If you'd like to downgrade again, please follow these steps
(only applies, if you have actually upgraded):

Stop beaTunes

Open Finder and go to

/Users/YOUR_USER_NAME/Library/Application
Support/beaTunes/
(you may have to use
Go to
Folder...
from the
Go
menu, as Finder hides

Library
from you)

Delete the directory
Database

Rename the directory
Database Backup Unknown
Version
to
Database

Start beaTunes 3

Kind regards,

no, you will not lose the program. You still have a valid
beaTunes 3 license and can of course run the program. I just
realized that you are on Windows, not OS X, so the recipe described
above is no good for you. Instead, do this:

Stop beaTunes

Uninstall beaTunes without deleting its
database (bpm, key, color - there is a question in the
uninstaller)

Open Explorer and go to

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\tagtraum
industries\beaTunes\
(Note that Windows Explorer may hide
the folder
AppData
from you. To navigate to it, you
can simply type it into the Explorer navigation bar or tell
Explorer to show hidden files.)

Delete the directory
database

Rename the directory
database Backup Unknown
Version
to
database

Download and install the most recent beaTunes 3 version from
http://www.beatunes.com/beatunes-download-old.html

Start beaTunes 3

To go back to beaTunes 3, follow the steps described above and
continue using beaTunes 3. No need to stick with 4.

If you're interested in upgrading to 4, the upgrade license is
heavily discounted, $11.95 instead of $34.95. And I completely
understand, if you don't want to upgrade.

I hope this clarifies the upgrade/downgrade options.

Cheers,

offer.
I am using windows 8.1 however and only see the $35 option.
Please advise.

Richard Bementtag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/338663652014-07-23T12:58:02Z2014-07-23T12:58:02ZUpgrade?

Hi Richard,
