Hi Hendrik, if I want beaTunes4 to run on a clean database (i.e. no color info etc. from beaTunes), how do I do this? I have a backup of the latest beaTunes3 database :-) I uninstalled beaTunes3 & 4 and made sure the directories were clean, both in C: and in Appdata. But when I open beaTunes, there are colors allocated before I tell it to analyze for color.

    Hi,

on Windows the database is stored in the Appdata (C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\tagtraum industries\beaTunes\database) directory - once it's gone, your start is as clean as it is ever going to be.

When beaTunes builds its database, it imports data from your audio files. If you have ever turned embed non-iTunes fields or used a folder-based library, key/color/etc. values are also written to your files to allow an easy recovery or make data accessible to 3rd party applications.

So my guess is that the data you are seeing is coming from your files.

    Cheers,

OK. I think I did ask it to embed. Thank you!

    No problem.
Please let me know, if you run into any problem with EA4.

    Thanks!
