Dear Team,

After some years I starting using again my old iTunes Library. And I downloaded the trial version of beatunes to find the key and tempo os the library as a whole, because there were lots of new songs. Two things I noticed this time:

1st - The new analysis changed the key and tempo of songs that were previously analysed by an older version of beatunes, how can I find out which one is correct? Why this happened?

2nd - The changes only applied after I played the songs on iTunes. How can I fix this bug? My library is in a folder located outside of my local disk in a external drive, the location does matter?

3rd - some files only matched the bpm, not the key, how can I fix it?

Thank you very much in advice!

    Hi,

    1. beaTunes usually only replaces values, if you check the corresponding box when you start analysis.
    2. That usually happens, when (in beaTunes) you use a folder-based library, but in reality, you want to use iTunes/Music.app and therefore should use an iTunes/Music.app-based library.
    3. You mean, only the BPM not the key was computed? Without error messages, I cannot say way. You can find the corresponding error messages in the error panel in the analysis view. They are not persistent, though. So if you have restarted beaTunes in the meantime, they are gone.

    Kind regards,

O tried to change de location of the library, but it didnt work. I try again later this year when I upgrade my machine.

The thing that annoyed most was the replacement of the values. The data base is constantly being updated? if so, why? The key of a song shouldnt change over time. There is any place I can check if the new value is correct?

Sorry if I am being unconvenient, its because that affect the out come of the playlist. Thank you very much again
