communicates any changes to iTunes. If it didn't do that, you
wouldn't see any changes in iTunes until you actually played a song
in iTunes (there wouldn't be a way for iTunes to know that
something changed).

If you don't care about that, you can create a directory
based library (beaTunes -> general preferences -> plus
button under music library). Such a library does not needs iTunes,
but it also does not update iTunes.

hendriktag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/96527942011-11-04T17:03:09Z2011-11-04T17:03:09ZHow do I run beaTunes without iTunes launching

I upgraded to Ver 3.08 and decided to link to my music folder
library rather than the iTunes file because I've had some problems
w/ iTunes and recently had to recreate the entire library after the
XML got corrupt.

In doing so, my laptop runs faster when I only have beaTunes
open by itself. The problem I now realize is, when creating a new
Matchlist, it doenst show up in iTunes automatically and the only
options are to Export the list. So, how am I supposed to get a
Matchlist into iTunes?

cajphototag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/96527942011-11-04T17:17:30Z2011-11-04T17:17:30ZHow do I run beaTunes without iTunes launching

Hi,

you should be able to export the playlist (right click on the
playlist in beaTunes) in the
m3u8
format and open that
with iTunes (again, right click, open with).
