Apple Music Downloaded Songs In BeaTunes Global Database

Hi there,

I've recently purchased BeaTunes and am enjoying the results so far.

My library is mostly uploaded owned music (CD collection ripped to digital files), however I am now expanding it with Apple Music Downloads.

I appreciate that this will limit functionality on these items due to their DRM status.

My question is how likely is it to expect a downloaded song to be able to have it's Color and Key populated from the Global Database.

As an example I recently downloaded a number of Prince's earlier albums, my expectation was that these would have been analysed previously by other users and so form part of the Global Database, allowing me to pull in their Color and Key as part of the limited analysis I can perform on those tracks.

Is my understanding incorrect or is there something that I need to do to allow these tracks to be populated with these elements.

I'd really like to see downloaded tracks start to appear in the BeaTunes generated Matchlists (which I run based upon Color, Key and BPM within a Genre specific playlist) but to date this hasn't been the case.

Many thanks in advance for any comments:)

Color will never be populated through the shared database, Key depends on other user's contributions and metadata matching. I.e. the title, artist and album should match other people's contributions, otherwise the key cannot be looked up.
