Hey Sascha,
it will come, but I unfortunately cannot tell you when exactly.
Sorry,

Hey Hendrick,
thanks, but this is the standard developer answer: no date. Can you please be more precise?
I would not be in the position having a new macOS version with only ARM support and then getting the answer: we working on it but we cannot tell when. It is btw. possible to compile a version which supports x86 & ARM.
Thanks for understanding,
Sascha

Of course it is.
Would you rather have me promise a date and when the date comes say: Oh sorry, it's taking longer.
What I can say is, that at this point it's not technical difficulties that are keeping me from releasing an ARM version.

You know what the „Air stewardess Sickness“ is ?
It’s an Stewardess who is in her 50’s, who jumps in the face of everybody who interrupts her while doing her work.
A lot of SW Developer have this sickness and you are one of them. And before you getting upset and „hang up the phone“ (Cheap trick: provoke and be upset to get rid of a duty ) i tell you how to deal with this people: Straight talk in countdown mode.
Let’s start:
Four: It’s, Hi or Hello Sascha
Third: I paid for software, i have the goddam right to get a serious answer.
Second: I don’t care why you, "the god of ARM coding“, do not want to release an ARM version - i want to know when
First:: In case you have problems keeping a promise - buy an analog wall calendar and mark the month you have promised, and stick it over on of your monitors.

Interestingly, when I got round to installing beaTunes on my new Mac, I had forgotten about the Intel/ARM thing and just downloaded it. It seems a little slower than previously but appears to be working OK. I had Rosetta 2 installed already (for something else) and maybe that is why, not sure. Thinking on it more now should I really not be using it?

I am not often one to say that Apple did something great (anymore), but Rosetta2 really kicks ass IMO. There is literally no reason not to use it. Sure, apps running via Rosetta2 are slower than their ARM native counterparts, but that's really the only downside I am aware of.

As I expected. That sounds like an excuse and is one. The purpose of Rosetta2 is to keep programs operating while the developers make the transition to ARM. When Apple drops the Intel support, there will be no ARM Version ready.
I mark, you are not willing to support your customers.
