First off, I don't understand what "Export filenames relative to the playlist's location" is supposed to imply. If someone could expound on that concept, that would be great.
Second, my issue here, is that I need to export the playlist and copy/paste the songs from said playlist into a new folder to be easily exported onto a USB thumb drive. How would I go about doing this?

    Hi,

sorry for the very late answer.

"Export filenames relative to the playlist's location"

playlist files are in the end nothing more than lists of filenames. These filenames can be absolute (i.e. on Windows, start with the drive D:\ for example, or with the server \\myserver\) or relative (i.e. start with a folder or filename). Relative filenames require some sort of logic to find the files. Typically, one resolves relative filenames relative to the location of the playlists file. This makes playlist files more portable, as it does not matter anymore where in absolute terms your files are located. They just have to be in the same relative location.

I need to export the playlist and copy/paste the songs from said playlist into a new folder to be easily exported onto a USB thumb drive. How would I go about doing this?

Create a playlist in your music folder, wherever that is. Ensure the filenames are relative. Then copy the playlist file and the music files to your thumb drive. Make sure that you use the same directory structure on your thumb drive as you have used on your internal drive.

    Hope this helps!

Yes. I understand the concept now however when it came to exporting songs
to a thumb drive, the issue arrises with the truth that my music file
directory system is just a plain mess. I was hoping there was a method
within the application that when exporting the playlist, it could also
"export" (copy/paste) the song files along with them since Beatunes already
knows exactly where the files are.

I understand the wish and would love to tell you, just check this or that box, but this is something that beaTunes currently cannot do.

    Sorry.
