there is a way, but I'm afraid it's a bit cumbersome. You need to install the sample key renderer from https://www.beatunes.com/en/beatlet-keytextrenderer.html#groovykeyt... The format it uses/shows is identical to the one Camelot uses.

Hope this helps,

This is the file I made. Is this correct?

joenarditag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/491908502021-05-14T09:47:59Z2021-05-14T09:47:59ZIs there an option to show the Key similar to the Camelot wheel?

Please see here.

If there is no folder named
plugins
, please simply create one and place the file in there. Then restart beaTunes. After the restart, you should see a new option for rendering key information in the general preferences.

in another program like Virtual DJ for example or does it only exist in the
beatunes database?

joenarditag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/491908502021-05-14T12:50:58Z2021-05-14T12:50:58ZIs there an option to show the Key similar to the Camelot wheel?

It’s written into the file, if you are using a folder-based library or are using an iTunes/Music-based library and have embedding turned on in the general preferences.

hendriktag:help.beatunes.com,2009-07-24:Comment/491908502021-05-14T12:51:05Z2021-05-14T12:51:05ZIs there an option to show the Key similar to the Camelot wheel?

A very generic third party tagger might show it. I have my doubts about VirtualDJ being able to show it.

hendrik
